Woman, 65, Killed, Another Injured In Pak Shelling Along Line of Control  In Jammu And Kashmir

Jammu:

A 65-year-old lady was killed and one other critically injured on Wednesday in heavy shelling by Pakistan Military on ahead areas alongside the Line of Management (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police mentioned.

The shelling from throughout the border in Balakote and Mendhar sectors began round 2 am, drawing sturdy retaliation by the Indian military, a police officer mentioned.

He mentioned two girls, Resham Bi and Hakam Bi, have been critically injured within the Pakistani shelling at village Lanjote and have been evacuated to hospital.

Nevertheless, Resham Bi later succumbed to her accidents whereas Hakam bi was referred to Jammu hospital for specialised therapy, he mentioned.

A defence spokesperson mentioned Pakistan initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars at round 2 am.
