Jaipur/ New Delhi:

A day after Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot’s open revolt in opposition to the Congress authorities, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot this afternoon hit again with a present of energy by which he scored near 100 Congress MLAs.

Supported by independents, the Congress authorities is, for now, not wobbling in numbers. However that would change if the opposition BJP decides to become involved and work with Mr Pilot to steer extra legislators to exit the Congress.

In Sachin Pilot vs Ashok Gehlot, here is how numbers are stacking up:

  • Complete MLAs in Rajasthan meeting: 200
  • Half-way mark: 101
  • Congress: 107 + help of 10 independents
  • At Ashok Gehlot’s assembly as we speak:  97
  • Sachin Pilot had claimed 30 in his camp
  • Pilot seems to have 16
  • BJP: 73
