MK Stalin is against the “imposition” of Hindi for many years

DMK president MK Stalin on Monday took umbrage over the incident by which his sister and celebration MP Kanimozhi was requested by a CISF official if “she was an Indian” as she couldn’t converse Hindi, asking if figuring out that language was the ”yardstick” of being an Indian.

“Is Hindi the yardstick for being an Indian. Is that this India or Hindia,” the DMK chief stated in a tweet.

Kanimozhi has alleged a CISF official at Chennai airport had requested her if “she was an Indian” because the DMK chief couldn’t converse Hindi.

Mr Stalin, whose celebration, as a coverage, is against the “imposition” of Hindi for many years, additional stated within the tweet that these making an attempt to “bury pluralism” will get “buried.”

On Sunday, Kanimozhi had tweeted “at present on the airport a CISF officer requested me if ”I’m an Indian” once I requested her to talk to me in Tamil or English as I didn’t know Hindi,” prompting the paramilitary drive to order an inquiry.

“It’s not the coverage of CISF to insist upon any specific language,” it stated.
