The Nationwide Fee for Ladies (NCW) has sought speedy motion from Gujarat Police towards a person for allegedly hurling abuses and giving rape threats to a feminine slapstick comedian on social media.

In a letter to Gujarat Director Normal of Police (DGP) Shivanand Jha, the NCW stated it has been tagged in a video posted on Twitter through which the person could be seen hurling abuses and giving rape threats to the girl.

“The NCW is dedicated to creating secure on-line house for ladies and making certain cyber safety to ladies and is perturbed by the rise in use of our on-line world to instigate crime towards ladies,” NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma stated within the letter despatched late Saturday evening.

“Contemplating the sensitivity of the matter, it’s requested that the speedy motion shall be taken as per the Data Expertise Act, 2000, towards the miscreant and a suggestions be apprised to the Fee,” Ms Sharma stated.
