The Union Well being Ministry has performed away with the requirement of a licence for stocking and sale of hand sanitiser to make it extra broadly obtainable for the general public amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on an official notification, the ministry granted the exemption below the provisions of the Medication and Cosmetics Guidelines, however mentioned retailers have to make sure that such merchandise will not be bought or stocked after the date of expiry.
