Two aides of infamous gangster Vikas Dubey, the primary accused within the cold-blooded ambush and homicide of eight policemen final week in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, have been shot lifeless early Thursday morning in separate encounters after they have been making an attempt to flee within the state, police mentioned.
Prabhat, one of many two aides, was arrested on Tuesday from Haryana’s Faridabad, about an hour away from Delhi, after Dubey was noticed at a lodge within the metropolis. He was being introduced again to Kanpur with one other man arrested together with him when he tried to flee, in line with the police.
“The cops who have been with Prabhat have been making an attempt to alter the police van’s tyre when Prabhat snatched a pistol from them and tried to flee. He shot on the cops and the policemen retaliated. He was injured within the leg and brought to a hospital the place he died resulting from accidents,” senior police officer Prashant Kumar mentioned.
One other aide shot lifeless this morning – Ranbir alias Bauva Dubey – had a bounty of Rs 50,000 on him.
“At round three am, a Swift Dzire was looted by 4 armed males on a Scorpio. They have been stopped about an hour later by cops after they tried to flee. The police chased them and an unidentified man suffered a number of accidents in crossfire. He was declared introduced lifeless on the hospital,” senior police officer Akash Tomar mentioned. The person was later recognized as Ranbir, Dubey’s aide.
One pistol, a double barrel gun and several other cartridges have been recovered throughout the encounter. Three different males who have been with Ranbir managed to flee.
